The GISNY choral program balances the fun and joy of communal music-making with a desire to establish high-quality musical training for students of all levels.
The signup process for Choir AGs will be slightly different than other AGs due to anticipated high demand, the musical skills required for participation, and the need to create a balanced group.
Current choir students will receive a special code for signing up. New choir students must indicate interest by June 10th by sending an email and video to Dr. Evelyn DeGraf at [email protected].
The video should demonstrate the student singing a melody such as "Happy Birthday" or a short song of their choice, as well as the child stating their name and reason for wanting to join or continue in the choir.
CHOR: Twinkling Stars (Grades 2-6) Choir Program
The Twinkling Stars is an elementary choir which develops basic choral skills. Singers develop intonation, diction, rhythm, and stage presence by singing fun and varied songs as well as multiple performances during the academic year.
