Description

Build Your Own Wooden Marionette!

Strings Attached – Create Your Own Wooden Marionette
Have you ever wanted to bring a character to life with your own hands? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design, build, and animate your very own wooden marionette – complete with functional joints and a moveable steering cross. Using real tools and creative techniques, we’ll explore the art of puppetry and craftsmanship.

What We’ll Do:

Learn basic woodworking and joint-building techniques

Shape and assemble the marionette’s body, limbs, and head

Paint and personalize your puppet’s character

Construct a working control cross to make it move

Why Join?

This project combines art, engineering, and storytelling in one unforgettable experience. You’ll leave with a unique, fully functional marionette – and the skills to build more!

There will be a materials fee, which we anticipate will not exceed $35.00 per student. Fees to be collected in September.
